Hello! This week we will be continuing to read HOLES. We will be reading Section 2 (Chapters 8-17) and working on vocabulary, reading strategies and comprehension skills as we read. Our particular area of focus will be learning and understanding a plot line and using summaries to aid in comprehension. Here is the schedule for this week:
Mon. 2/8: Read and discuss HOLES; start vocabulary for Section 2
Tues. 2/9: Read and discuss HOLES; finish vocabulary for Section 2
Wed. 2/10:Review using Informational text use (Dictionaries and reference books) to prepare for mini-library research activity.
Thur. 2/11: Discuss plot line and side story in HOLES. Review for HOLES Section 2 quiz
Fri. 2/12: HOLES Section 2 quiz
