Week 2/1-2/5

Hello Readers!! This week we will be continuing to read Holes. We will be concentrating on understanding the plot line and characterization to aide in comprehension of the text. We will also be utilizing the reading strategies as we read. If you are absent, ask your partner about what hand-outs and assignments you missed. And, don't forget to bring an outside reading book everyday for book/reading participation points. Have a great week!

Week 1/25-1/29

Hello! This week we will be starting a class novel, HOLES. We will be reviewing the reading strategies and going over elements of literary texts. As we read HOLES, we will have vocabulary words for each section as well as in class discussions, worksheets and quizzes to practice using our reading strategies and to understand the elements of literary texts. All the work will be done in class unless students decide to not use their time wisely, and then they will have to complete the work at home.

Please pick up missed work if you have been absent. Have a great week!
